Hi Kevin The names is definitely spelled Heaney, taken directly from the very legible church register. She is buried in St. John's cemetery at Clonbroney, Church of Ireland. I cannot help with Gilheaneys. Sheila Forbes
I just mention it because in my own tree Gilheaneys often became Heaneys and sometimes visa versa. Hi Kathy The Clonbroney parish registers (Church of Ireland) are in local custody in the town of Ballinalee, county Longford. . I had the opportunity to look at the originals when I was in Ireland two years ago. I believe that the county Longford Research Centre in Longford town has a transcript of these records. They charge a fee for look-ups. Sheila Forbes Canada
I have just been given copy of; "The Story of the Irish Race" by Seumas MacMANUS. It is a history of Ireland w/many Irish scholars contributing to the info. I already have a copy of this book - do not need two. I will give this one to whoever might care to have it. It is a well worn copy but is all OK. First response, it's yours. Contact me off-list. Bev
The book has been spoken for. 1st response came thru abt 5 min's after I sent the post. Bev
