    3. I agree, Nancy. Affinity is a spiritual relationship : god child, god mother/father, etc. The dispensation would be very easy to get, which would make the 4 day turnaround feasible. However, if the bishop was just down the street, consanguinity could be dispensed from about as easily. Sometimes the bishops give the priests the power to grand dispensations.
