Hi June I used the shortcut below and got on to a Registration Page which amongst other things asked for the name and address of my "Institution". What did you enter for that? It is really intended for libraries and educational instititutions, isn't it? Unfortunately my local library does not subscribe to the British Newspaper collection although it does subscribe to The Times archives also run by Gale Digital Collections. My Library told me that it doesn't have the money for it. Hi Rhoda, For institutions I put "none" Apparently it's a free trial for now. I have had an email from them confirming my registration, I don't know how long its free for so I'm busy checking any papers I can think of and saving them to read later. There are many births marriages and deaths that may be very useful to people, although the stories and news articles themselves are very interesting to the time our ancestors where living in. The papers I have been looking at in north wales list Shipping lists etc. All very interesting, and you never know one just might be related to us! :) June -----Original Message----- From: irl-longford-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-longford-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of CandROverson Sent: 21 March 2008 23:39 To: irl-longford@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [IRL-LONGFORD] British Newspapers Hi June I used the shortcut below and got on to a Registration Page which amongst other things asked for the name and address of my "Institution". Hi June Thanks very much for this. I had accessed the site some days ago when it was mentioned on one of the other lists, but then the access was removed. I shall have another go.
