Thank you David. Members of USGenWeb have received recent assurances that data on RW will not be taken and archived separately, or ever sold. The founder of RW (Brian) says by it very nature, RW has to be free to everyone. Given that, we must keep in mind that TGN through Ancestry has lied before, so cannot be trusted to keep RW free. Note that not long ago TGN said mastheads would go only on free pages accounts, and would not be placed on state/county related websites. With recent events we see that guarantee (promise) has already been broken. Our only guarantee of freedom and safety is to host our archives on a secure server that TGN has zero control over. That is safe and falls within our responsibility as leaders to keep archives and records kept by IGP project safe. Step by step we are doing this to protect our product.
