I am looking for a good researcher or genealogist to gather information on a Michael Filan. The information I have is that he was born about 1797, was from the Townland of Longfield, Parish Mostrim, County Longford. I believe he emigrated to the states sometime around 1849-1852 with three(3) or four(4) sons named Edward, John, William and maybe Joseph. Michael Filan was my gggrandfather and I am trying to verify that he is the same Michael Filan that originated in County Longford. I have sent basically the same message to County Longford. Thus far I have received no takers.I am not looking for a free ride, I am willing to pay for this service. Don Filan
