I wanted to let everyone know that a team of volunteers is busily transcribing church records from ONE of the films of church records for Co Longford. As Jan said you can visit the site at: www.rootsweb.com/~irllog Be careful when you are searching. These records are taken from typed transcriptions and spellings vary. We are not correcting strange spellings. We are updating the records as they come in so keep checking back. We would love new volunteers! Many hands lighten the load and all that. So, if you would like to help us get some actual data online for all Co Longford researchers please drop my a line. When this project is finished if we have the interest in continuing we will cast about for something else to do. We are also putting your research online. If you have transcribed all of a name in a set of records (all the Caseys in a Parish record for instance) you can send me the data in text format and we will happily place it online where it might be of help to someone.
