    1. [IRL-LONGFORD] RE: Cunningham/Dunleavy
    2. My branch of the Dunleavy family is located in the townsland of Ohill/Oghill, which is not far from the town of Drumlish. Unfortunately the name Ellen Dunleavy seems to have been fairly popular during the time that you mentioned. The following is a list from Ohill: (1) Ellen Dunleavy, born in 1884, daughter of John Dunleavy and Anne Connolly. (2) Ellen Dunleavy, born in 1883, daughter of Thomas Dunleavy and Bridget Kenny. (3) Ellen/Eleanor Dunleavy, born in 1876, daughter of John Dunleavy and Catherine Farrell. (4) Ellen Dunleavy, born in approximately 1885, daughter of Patrick Dunleavy and Bridget Hogan. Numbers (2), (3) and (4) were all first cousins, their fathers being brothers. Number (1) was likely a second or third cousin. Number (4) was my father's aunt and moved to Hartford, Conn., as did her brother John Dunleavy. I will ask my father about David Ahearn and let you know if I find out anything. Hope this is helpful. Luke Cunningham born about 1798 in Ireland. I am not certain of the dates of any of this information because I am getting it from a cousins memory. Luke might not be Mr. Cunningham's given name. The Cunninghams in my family tend to use their middle name which makes my search that more difficult. Luke migrated to Nova Scotia, Canada in the middle 1800s David Ahearn left Ireland to come to the United States sometime before 1898. He came over with his children but I can;t find anything on what happened to Ellen. e-mail me at fran104@s0way.com thank you Frances McDevitt LaMarco ______________________________
