I'm just starting research on the line of James Caulfield and his wife Ellen Mullin/Mullen. I have not been able to place them in Longford for certain. I'm relying on the memories of a couple of elderly family members that both recall my ancestor Maria Caulfield (daughter of James and Ellen) coming over to Brooklyn, NY in 1880 from Longford. I have a Mary Mullin/Mullen who married my James Gorman in 1854 in Clonbroney parish, Longford. I wonder if these Mullins are related. I haven't been able to find out anything else about the Mullins, but I found Mary in the Church records database on the County Longford GenWeb page. Mary Mullin Gorman is buried in my Gorman family cemetery plot in NYC. Acc. to her death cert., she was 67 at death in 1902, so she was born around 1834-35. But I haven't been able to trace her back, so I know nothing about the Mullins. I take it you have no solid connections to Longford, or any particular place in Longford?
