Hi, please let me introduce myself, I have just joined this list. I am a very avid genealogist and have been researching for over two years. My husband's family has been traced back to Ireland so I thought I would join this list. John HORAN was born in LONGFORD in 1809 and he married Catherine HERNAN. Catherine was born in 1823 in Kings County (Offaly). They married in 1845 in Irishtown, Kings County (Offaly) in 1845. They emigrated to Australia in 1862 aboard the ship "Ocean Chief". They brought eight children with them, Matthew born 1845 Mary born 1846 Thomas born 1848 James born 1851 John born 1853 Anne born 1855 Mark born 1859 Kate Cecilia born 1860 - my husband's direct line.
