    1. Burke/Perry in Tennalick
    2. Nancy Pierce
    3. Hello, I am new to the list. I have recently received information from the Longford Heritage Centre about my great great grandfather, Edward BURKE. His obituary in the Brooklyn Eagle, 1895, stated that he was from Tennalick, County Longford. Apparently, he was born in May of 1841. His parents were Patrick BURKE and Margaret PERRY. Edward Burke married Mary LEVY, her parents were Mary CONNELLY and Thomas LEVY. I believe they may have been from Tennalick too. I wanted to know if anyone else is researching these names or this village? area? town? I am a little confused as to the divisions in Ireland. The four names of places I have associated with where these ancestors came from are Tennalick, Taghshinny, Abbeyshrule, Carrickedmond. I don't have a good map, so I can't really figure out where anything is - except Abbeyshrule. I am going to Ireland in May and would like to take a day trip to Longford. I understand that the church where Margaret Perry and Patrick Burke were married still stands. I would like to take my father (Edward Burke) there, I just need a little guidance. Any help would be very much appreciated. Nancy Burke Pierce
