I havent posted anything yet, even though Ive been on the list for sometime now (I was hoping to get more info before I posted) but just to see if there is anyone out there who might be kin.... My GGrandparents: Patrick Smyth married to Mary McEnroe (their fathers: John Smyth and Michael McEnroe) Marriage cert dated 1873 says they were all resident at that time in Abbeylara, County Longford Possible cousins: a. John Drumgoole (of Athboy County Meath) married to Bridget Martin (of Creevy Townland); son John C Drumgoole (RC priest in NY, USA famous for starting an orphanage on Staten Island, NY and possibly still remembered in Longford...???) b. Reilly's (no specifics yet) resident in Kilbride Townland (Abbeylara Parish, C. Longford) in 1820's when Bridget Martin stayed with them before immigrating to the US after John's (senior) death.....they might also be the Reillys in Griffiths Val. in 1854 (Ive only seen an index) I dont know if any Smiths or McEnroe's are left (not hopeful about Drumgooles) but I know that some Reillys were still in Ireland in the 1950's/1960's when my grandmothers cousin used to visit them. I would love to find them (as well as anyone else connected)...my mother doesnt think it can be done. Here's hoping shes wrong. Barbara
