Does anyone know what it means when a person hold land as"Free" in Griffiths. Thi sterm must be different than regular formal outright ownership which is identified by the words "In fee". I have a vague recollection that Free means the person is some sort of legally recognized squatter but I'm not sure. Is there a source for official definition of terms used in Griffiths? Russ
