Hi there! I wanted to let you know that the Co Longford GenWeb site now has two search engines. I have been looking for a search engine that would do exact phrase searches. However, I tested the exact search capability out and found that Pico Search will find John Doe but not Doe, John which is mostly what is needed. I emailed their support team and was told that they are working on the problem. They did point out that you can use the search terms John NEAR Doe which will find the words within 10 words which will narrow your search down quite a bit. The other search engine, Free Find, can use wildcards so you can put Smi* and get Smith and Smithers etc. This is useful for names with more than one spelling.
