He enlisted in the 67th Foot Regiment in 1864 at Balymahon, Longford. He was stationed at Athlone. I don't know if Athlone is in County Longford or not, but on the map it is located in the South East portion of either Longford, or the adjoining county, and i've forgotten which county that is, perhaps Rosecommin. That is the only military barracks in the area, that i know of. Good Luck in your quest. Roger
