My Diamonds came from Ballybrien, Granard. My gt gt grandfather was a James Diamond who settled in Ontario, Canada and his daughter Elizabeth (Eliza) married Smyth Cooke (Leitrim T) and was my gt grandmother. I have written to Longford Roots just this week and hope to get more information. David Leahy has been very kind and helpful. You are my second contact this week and I am thrilled to finally get some results. Will be glad to share results from Heritage Center when they reply. An earlier James Diamond was on the flax growers. Would like to hear from you. Janis E. Ulstein (Jan) e-mail: ulsteinj@juno.com or: janisulstein@hotmail.com
