Part of my Moughty family emigrated to Argentina. James Moughty (from Westmeath, born in Longford) married Maria Duggan in 1870 in Dublin (she was the daughter of Hugh Duggan and Jane Kelly). James traveled back and forth to Argentina and a number of his children settled there. Patrick Moughty married Patricia Feeney; Michael Moughty married Anne Jacks; Anne Moughty married James Feeney; Louisa Moughty married John Feeney. I also have a Mary Moughty that remained in Westmeath and married Thomas McCormack. These Moughty's all lived close to the border of Longford near Ballymahon. Regards...
