    3. I am researching the Preston family from theses areas of Co. Longford: Ballymahon,Forgney,Cartronboy,Barry,Abbeyshrule,Tashinny and Kilcommock. The family I am interested in is that of my Grandfather, John Richard Preston, born 1872 and I know that he lived in Ireland all his life. John had 2 sisters, Fanny and Eliza, both of whom emigrated to the USA. Will be interested to hear from anyone who may also be researching this family name from County Longford. Esther Pack

    3. I don't know if this is of your interest, but researching Seerys at Ballimore I found out a Preston married to a Seery. Their children were born around 1870. Ballimore is a place near the southern border to Co. Longford and some people of this place were buried at Forgney in Co. (South) Longford. Like Pretson is not a common name I think may be some connection. Best wishes Alberto Savaglia Cormack
