I am researching the Preston family from theses areas of Co. Longford: Ballymahon,Forgney,Cartronboy,Barry,Abbeyshrule,Tashinny and Kilcommock. The family I am interested in is that of my Grandfather, John Richard Preston, born 1872 and I know that he lived in Ireland all his life. John had 2 sisters, Fanny and Eliza, both of whom emigrated to the USA. Will be interested to hear from anyone who may also be researching this family name from County Longford. Esther Pack

I don't know if this is of your interest, but researching Seerys at Ballimore I found out a Preston married to a Seery. Their children were born around 1870. Ballimore is a place near the southern border to Co. Longford and some people of this place were buried at Forgney in Co. (South) Longford.
