Jodi, Do not yet know of a connection between Cavanaugh and my Claffey ancestors, who came from Longford Co Ireland in 1817. If they were not related , they certainly knew each other and are buried near each other in Donegal Catholic Cemetery in southwestern Pennsylvania. See the page on my "Claffey Home Page" web site that names those buried there. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~camounts/indexc.html Have photos of cemetery to put online soon. The Jane Cavanaugh buried in Donegal Catholic Cemetery had a daughter Mary who married Locklin Egan. All came from Longford Co Ireland. Carol Ann Claffey Mounts in Washington PA >>Hi, I would appreciate any information on the following; >> >>Andrew CAVANAGH b.approx1770 >> record of 1825 tithe assessment in Cranlymore, Motrim parish, >> County Longford, Ireland.

Carol Ann Claffey Mounts, I just got a reference to a relative advertising in the Boston Pilot of 2 Nov., 1849, for his uncle, Owen Mairs, who should be my gg grandfather. The nephew gave his address as: Tom Calkin Fallsport P.O. Wayne Co. PA Do you have any idea where that is? Would it be near your Donegal Catholic Cemetery? Thanks, David Myers Guadalupe, AZ

My gr-gr-grandparents came from Longford, Cox and McManus, Egan/Eagan and Caughlin/Coughlin. They came to work on the Kingstone estate in Ontario. Other names that are related to mine in the Lambton, Ontario area are Carroll and Morrisey. Plus other names. It seems they moved around together. I believe that Carolls' came from Tiperary. I don't know about the Morrisey's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have hit a great big brick wall. Thanks. Beth

G'day All, I have just joined this list and would like to post a request for any information on my Drew family. My Grandfather on my mothers side was Robert Drew born about 1862. He had a sister Mary Jane born about 1872 and a brother William. Robert was born in Newtown Forbes. He and his sister immigrated to Queensland, Australia. Not sure about William. The parents were a James Drew and Jane McCredden. If anyone has ties with this family, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks and cheers, -- Dave Prince Ipswich, Queensland, Australia davprin@gil.com.au

Hello Agnes, Would you believe I was just composing this e-mail to you in response to your posting to the LONGFORD list when I got your e-mail to me: My great-grandfather, Patrick REARDON, was from Longford, and his parents were Patrick REARDON and Ellen GORMAN. I really don't have very much information on him, except that he was born about 1855, and his first wife's name was Hannah/Nora (?Honorah) DONNELLY. I don't know if they were married in Ireland or after he/they came to New Jersey around 1885. Now, to answer the question in your 2nd e-mail, that was an error. >After his first wife's death, he married Mary DONOHUE, daughter of >Thomas GORMAN and Ann GLEESON. It should have read the daughter of Thomas DONOHUE and Ann GLEESON. I'd love to hear from you if think there may be any connection to your GORMANs. Well, I'm shutting down now. Hope to hear from you tomorrow! Regards, Pat
Hello listers, I'm researching the Gormans from Parish of Drumlish. Anyone else? Agnes
