    3. I'm looking for any info on the Leavy's in Longford. Thanks. Stephen Smith -----Original Message----- From: irl-longford-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-longford-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Grammagras@aol.com Sent: Saturday, June 23, 2007 10:59 AM To: Irl-Longford@rootsweb.com Subject: [IRL-LONGFORD] Information needed To the listers: Can any tell me how close Mullingar is to the Longford boundary line? Is Abbeyshurle close to this area? Also if I send for a birth certificate how safe is my credit card information? I tried to send for it while I was in Ireland when I was there. I had to buy a postal money order. Now I have been able to print the form to send for it I am nervous about sending my credit card information. I have never done this before. Is it secure? When they could not find anything they sent me back an Irish money order. I sent for two and lost money because the rate of exchange was different then when I purchased it. And was unable to cash the money order until someone I knew was going over. Thanks for any help. 2. Irene
    3. Hi Listers, As traffic is so light thought I would remind you of my interests. My IGOE family lived in Noughaval which is on both sides of the Longford/Westmeath border. I have a Laurence married to Julia McCormick. He died in 1876 aged 50. She was alive at that time. Their son John, born 1850 was my gt.grandfather who married in London and lived there ever after. I found a Lawrence in Griffiths residing at Muckenagh, Noughaval, along with several other Igoes, presumably all related. Does anyone on the list have a connection with these IGOE's/McCORMACK's. I am really longing to meet a long lost cousin. Best wishes, Irene of Seattle former Londoner

    3. Chris: I found the following e-mail interesting because my Godfather's mother's maiden name was Gerity (on his marriage certificate) and I haven't found anything like that in my research. I'm trying to find out how my Godfather is related to my family. I had always called him "Uncle Jimmy" and was told he was my father's cousin - but I can NOT find where he comes in. On two of the censuses, Jimmy noted his father was born in Canada (French Canadian) and his mother born in Ireland, which also perked up my interest on your e-mail. Ah, well, some day it will all be clear.
