Hello listers I am trying to trace the family of John McInerney born about 1829 in Thomond Gate? Limerick. If I have the correct man, John came to Australia as an assisted immigrant, on the ship "David McIver 2" in 1854 as an agricultural labourer, he could read and write and his religion was church of Ireland. The John McInerney I am tracing came to Oz before 1862 when he married Johanna Dower. He was shown as a Coach builder. The John above could have been him as New south Wales was after agricultural labourers at that time and he may have been rejected if shown that he was a coach builder. I have no idea of his parent's names, but his children to Johanna Dower were Catherine, Edward J, Mary, Thomas, John, Mary Pauline, Lavinia Ethel and Oscar. John died in 1887 at Balmain in NSW, Australia. I have not been able to find his birth on the LDS site. Thank you for any assistance. Joan in NSW, Australia
