Families were more apt to follow the traditional naming patterns in the early part of the 19th century...if yours did (and it doesn't look like it for the daughters), then you might look for a possible set of parents based on that: Catherine- Johanna's mother Edward J -John's father Mary- John's mother Thomas - Catherine's father John - after himself Mary Pauline - should be after Johanna. (Is there a possibility a daughter died?) These names are just something to keep in mind...certainly no proof. Good luck. As far as the possibility of a daughter dying [Mary] with another daughter being named Mary Paulina after the first Mary I had not searched this out but will do so as Mary Pauline was shown in newspaper notices as Paulina as was her sister Lavinia Ethel, shown as Ethel.
