Hi Paul! Coll and Cull are variants of the same name. I am considering a Coll family from Ballyphillip, Croom to be possibly related to the Cull family I am researching. They are in proximity to Lisduane, Ballingarry to be a possibility. I don't know as of yet if the De Valera piece will be related because I am just staring to touch on this family name. But there seems to be quite a lot of interest on the internet with that particular family. I am however very interested in what you have to say about a Hugh Gorman being dispossessed of his land in Feenagh! Can you tell me more about that because I do suspect that there is a heavy association with my Gorman family to Feenagh even though they show up back to the Tithe applotments in Lisduane, Ballingarry? Its not a common surname so perhaps there might be a connection? Not sure if Cull is a variant spelling of Coll or a different surname. I own a wonderful book "From Bruree to Corcomohide" by Mainchin Seoighe which has a lot of local information about De Valera and family but it does focus on Bruree. However, Feenagh is included in his map of "ancient Corcomohide." A Hugh Gorman of an area which is in modern Feenagh was a landowner dispossesed of his land in 1654.
