Another excellent book is Landlords, Tenants, Famine by Desmond Norton. In this book, I read when my gr gr grndfthr was deposed of his farm by Stewart & Kincaid, who had been assigned to take over the Ballinruane Estate on the lands of Sergeant Warren in 1846-49. It also named his brother and neighbors. Still today there are some families living in the area.
