Hal A summary guide to start with is at the following: http://members.iinet.net.au/~nickred/talks/deeds2008.pdf The deeds cover all Ireland geographically. Though it should be noted that many people outside Ireland are mentioned. Some may be absentee landlords or simply parties who have moved to other parts of the world. Deed registration started in 1708 but many deeds mention earlier deeds. The database has a number of references to deeds dated in the early 1600. The Registry of Deeds is a functioning registry.
