Jan - Thank you for your reply. I have the death certificate and it indicates his parents were Cornelius and Mary. Understand the death certificate was from 1884 and the information was provided by his wife. It does make sense since his oldest children were named Mary and Cornelius. I has some tell me a long time ago to check the Kilfinane area but I have not had any success locating any records. Patrick married Catherine O'Neill - presumabely in Morrisians, New York in about 1867. She would have been 12-13 years old and he would have been about 27. Kate survived until 1925 when she passed away - reported at the age of 70 on her death certificate. Her parents were listed as James O'Neil and Bridget Murphy from Ireland. There is no county listed for her birth or her parents. Any additional help is appreciated. If your ancestor was born c1840, many parishes did not yet keep records so you might not find his Baptism. You can alwaystry Irishroots.com to be sure. I have Hannigans who intermarried with my Kennys. These Hannigans were fromDarragh. I don't know if they were from Darragh More or Darragh Beg, but it isin the general Kilfinane area. > ====================== > Query Board > http://www.igp-web.com/boards.htm > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to IRL-LIMERICK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
