To Listers, Thanks to Susan and Patrick for their answers to my Ireland trip questions. I am making plans for my first visit to Ireland on June 9 - June 23. I have been "listening" to the Limerick list here and gathering tips for research. I plan on penning some letters to the Parish Church of Robertstown, County Limerick and see what information they are willing to share. I got the address off the Catholic Diocese of Limerick County website. It lists a Rev. Mockler as the present priest. Does anyone know if Limerick City would have any research centers that contain records that would pertain to certain parishes? What about Dublin? Besides the National Library of Ireland, what about the General Register Office, the National Archives of Ireland and the Genealogical Office? How are these facilities different from one another? Maureen, thanks for posting information about visiting the National Library of Ireland in Dublin. That is the type of advice and research tips I am looking for. I would like to know what to expect and what type of research places are to visit before arriving there this summer. I appreciate any and all who care to share their knowledge of these places. Thank you very much. Melody South Dakota, USA
