Hi Cris- I wrote you privately, but I got a message that your mailbox was full! So, I'm writing via the list, hoping people won't think this too off topic. My Limerick people (Shea, Fitzerald) settled in Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Do you know at least the province where yours married? I got the microfilms of the church records by first going on-line to the Mormon site, http://www.familysearch.org. I clicked on Library, then Family History Library Catalog. I like to use the Keyword search. If you put in "Parish Registers Catholic Ontario," you get 246 in that province. The ones I'm currently viewing, from Belleville, are on that list. The ones from Read also come up. However, several years ago, I also viewed the ones from Marysville, but they do not come up in that search. I had to put in Marysville. You have to play around with the words you try, because sometimes indexers choose different subject headings. I print them out, go to the nearest Family Research Center, and they help me put through the order. It costs $6 per reel. It can take a month or two, sometimes longer. They are adding to their collection all the time. Every so often I used to try a search for my grandfather's hometown in Italy. (He died long before I was born.) Nothing ever came up. Last year, all of a sudden, there it was. The Mormons had copied the civil records, and I borrowed them within a year after they were filmed. Sometimes you have to keep trying and hoping!
