Forwarding this message as it might prove useful to anyone on this list who desires to order copies of wills (or other records) from the National Archives of Ireland. Although their web pages do not indicate that they will accept checks in US funds (they will apparently take them!) -------------- Forwarded Message: -------------- From: "Philip Doyle" <pdoyle@nationalarchives.ie> Subject: RE: Acceptable Payment Methods for copies of Perogative Wills Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2008 09:46:30 +0000 Dear Kathy, The National Archives unfortunately has no credit card facility but the equivalent in Dollars will be acceptable. Kind regards Philip Doyle -----Original Message----- Sent: 26 February 2008 18:31 Subject: Acceptable Payment Methods for copies of Perogative Wills I wish to order a copy of a perogative will. I downloaded the proper form to do so and understand that the forms of payment you accept for this service is a check (in Euros) or a postal money order. I am located in the United States, and although I have called my bank, my travel agency (AA) and my post office find that it is not possible to obtain either a check nor a postal money order drawn in Euros. Is it possible for me to send a check in US funds as long as I figure the exchange rate properly? Or can you suggest some other method for me to make payment? Would be more than happy to provide a credit card number, etc. Thank you for your help! Sincerely, Kathy L. Rhodes
