    1. Re: [IRL-LIMERICK] 1901 and 1911 City of Limerick Census Records
    2. Thanks, George! I should have thought of that! Am excited to learn that Ireland's 1911 census has cards that filled out by the head of household themselves! Yipee! I get to see what a persons handwriting looked like & don't have to try & figure out if enumerator "mistranscribed" info-- How wonderful! NAI says "1911 census [for Dublin] was taken on 2 April 1911" but they also say "forms filled out and signed...on census night" Was "CENSUS NIGHT" the same for ALL counties? (see http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/help/about19011911census.html#whatcontain) What did they do when someone failed to send in their census card? Did they keep track of stuff like that and follow up and get back and get the info? Thanks again George! Kathy -------- Original message from "george kelly" <geokel@eircom.net>: -------------- www.census.nationalarchives.ie gives 1911 census for Dublin online. From this you will see info contained. ----- Original Message ----- Sent: Sunday, February 24, 2008 5:13 PM Subject: [IRL-LIMERICK] 1901 and 1911 City of Limerick Census Records Is there anyone on the list that knows the enumeration dates for either or both of these censuses? <snip> but was wondering prior to putting out 10 Euro for them + mailing costs if anyone can give me an overview of the questions asked and answered on these two censuses?
