    1. Re: [IRL-LIMERICK] ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
    2. sorry again I must respectfully disagree you wrote "it does not matter who or where info is gathered from common sense demands that you have 2 seperate sources" To me yes it does matter who or where the information is gathered..As I said previous, I have all sorts of inforamtion of "my" great grandmother...unfortunately after a year or so of following leads, she wasnt MY great grandmother! and yes it does matter to me where they get the information, if anyone, not just the mormons, is going to copyright the information then dont they need to cite their source? Iam not trying to be argumentative I truly would like to know. I will say for the umpteenth time, that if they can get the records I would like to know how and where so that maybe I could do the same with my family. Just because you dont like the way a topic is going doesnt mean everyone agree and wants to halt it.I have had both negative and positive responses off list, so I do know others are interested in knowing this as well. So please, before telling everyone "you've" had enough, just use your delete key so you dont have to read the posts, we all have different interests. Cris

    3. Cris: I use my local LDS weekly. All my records are in a state that I moved away from. They have microfiche that has COPIES of recorded births, deaths, marriages in Cook County where I am from. If I find something that I believe belongs to my family, then I write to the County for a copy of the document. I've checked census records, voting records, and yes church records. They are all COPIES of the actual records. So far (in USA) I've not had to write to the church directly as I found what I was looking for on the COPIES of church records that LDS has in their library. Any mistakes I found (name spelling) were in the copied records...can't blame the LDS for that. LDS is very worthwhile tool in finding out information about our families. They have told me that they physically went to all the churches, court houses, etc. and just took pictures of their records. The same is true of census records. I find them to be delightful people who are very helpful. They never talk about their religion or ask me about mine. Use this info as you wish, I'm just putting in my 2 cents! Good luck in your searches. Sally/Arkansas --- crazyangel25@webtv.net wrote: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
