Marie, Use the Ire-Atlas Townland Database to look things like this up: http://www.seanruad.com Type in Cappanihane in Townland (making sure to use a capital "C") Then select County Limerick Up pops your info Next google Cappanihane and get a map and then ask it for directions to Castletown and you will know exactly how far apart they are. To find a family living in Limerick during 1800-1860 try looking them up on the Griffith's Valuation which occurred during this period: http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php Enter you Surname (or just the first part of it) Select County Limerick and then weed through what you get back.
