Hi List I was just browsing some websites tonight and came across something from Ireland Old News that I dont understand and Im hoping someone can help me For November 25 1852 there is an article thats says the eviction of 25 families off the "lands of Langan" and Moyne. Who, what and / or the lands of Langan? is that a place or a person. One of my surnames is LANGAN. I also find a lot of places with the word "carrig" in them but cant find the surame CARRIG, which may ahve been from Clare but thats not certin. Thank you, Cris <snip> "EVICTIONS--V. BROWNE, relieving officer, has had notice served upon him of the eviction of twenty-five families, off the lands of Langan and Moyne, in the electoral division of Moyne, and now in Chancery in re GREVILLE v. BROWN. The unfortunate creatures were turned out of their homes on Monday and Tuesday last.--Tuam Herald."
