Hi listers, I am planning a trip to Limerick this July. I have booked a flight and a B&B for my stay. I plan to visit some cousins in the Clarina, Kildimo, Patrickswell,Ballybrown, Tervoe area. I'm searching for Enright relatives of my Dad, John Enright who was born in Newtown on Nov. 11, 1888. I will also check out my Mom's place of birth, Shrule, Mayo. Her maiden name was Rushe. I would appreciate any travel tips or suggestions as I am a recruit to this. The last time I did any traveling the US Army paid for it. Thank you all. Pat GET YOURSELF A NEW---GOOD ROAD MAP. Also double your travel time, if you think it is going to take you an hour no,no, no, it will take you an hour and a half at minimum. I will be going over in June (3rd trip) am staying in Adare my cousin lives in Pallas Grean which she said is only about 18 miles away, which I should be able to drive in 45 or 50 mins. Here in Iowa 18 miles takes about 20 minutes at the most. Just take your time and enjoy one of the most beautiful countries on earth. You may want to get a car with a GPS. Pat I forgot to tell you STAY LEFT. And don't drive into the cities of Cork, Belfast or Dublin You will regret it, Limerick is not so bad. Also when you return to the states it will take a few days to get back to driving on the right....... so pay attention. Hi Susan, Thank you for the two e-mail responses. I'm happy to get one and to get two is overwhelming. I'll heed your advice. We have a roundabout in Kingston New York and as I live nearby I use it often. If you miss your turn you just go around again. I'm dizzy enough so I'll be careful. Can I park the car outside of Dublin and take an bus into the city? Take care and thanks again. Pat, Do you know if you are related to Ellen Enright who married my great uncle, Michael, "Mick" Bunce in R.C. Parish of Parteen & Meelick Co. Limerick on 5/10/1896? The Bunces were originally from Patrickswell, but moved to coonagh, (Co. Limerick) in late 1800s. Uncle Mike's in- law's family decendents, the Enrights, still live in his old house on the Coonagh Rd. in Coonagh. Hi Joe, Good day for computer play. It's snowing here in New York State to beat the band. The only Ellen Enright that I have in my Data was born the 15th. of Sept. 1889. Her parents were John Enright and Honora Scanlan. Thanks for the e-mail. Take care Pat Patrick Enright pappyenright@earthlink.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Bunce, ,Jr." <sensei1937@aol.com> To: "Patrick Enright" <pappyenright@earthlink.net>; <irl-limerick@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2008 5:03 PM Subject: Re: [IRL-LIMERICK] Trip > Pat, > Do you know if you are related to Ellen Enright who married my great > uncle, Michael, "Mick" Bunce in R.C.
