I'm looking for information about my grandfather's parents. They were John Reedy/Reidy from Kelmeedy area, and Bridget Leary/ O'Learyfrom the same area. They were married in Kilmeedy in Sept. of 1862. Her parent were Thomas Leary/O'Leary and Julia Fitzpatrick. The wedding document is Reidy and Leary. They had 5 surviving children between 1862 and 1874. John immigrated in 1874 to America and Bridget followed in 1875 with the children. Bridget's name is spelled Reidy on the ship manifest. They are believed to have had a couple children die in infancy. After they immigrated the spelling was Reedy. Their children born in Ireland were Jeremiah - March 1863, John - June 1864 , Mary - March 1866/67, Bridget - Nov 1868, James - July 1874 How would I get info on this family Bonni Any Society that would give up liberty for a little security, will deserve neither and loose both.
