A friend and I have been trying to figure out if my John Kearney could possibly be a variation of McNerney. Once again, thank you. John seems to be a common name shared in all families. There are no children registered as (Mc)Kearney in Glin, only Denis Kearny b 1835, Catherine b 1854 father is a grocer and moved to Limerick in Dec 1861 and John b 1856, father is a policeman of Glin. The other is Daniel Kearney born 1830 Killeany.
