This service gives people another choice - 'choice' being the operative word. I, for one, was v.excited when I first learned the IFHF was making all these records available for searching online. I can't necessarily afford to splurge loads of money on buying credits just at the moment - but at least I know the possibility of research, in my own time, is there now (my ancestors are in the dreaded Cashel and Emly diocese, parish records for which the Archbishop has banned access to at the National Library, as I'm sure you all know about!) It may not be perfect yet, but the IFHF has at least opened up some opportunities that weren't available before for everyone. Cheers, Mags
