Kathleen: My McAuliffe ancestors were born in Newcastle West in Limerick. My g-grandfather David's father was Daniel McAuliffe and his mother was Catherine Curtin. Two Daniels, father and son lived on Knockaun Road two houses apart according to the Griffith's and Curtins were just down the same road. David and Margaret Jones also of Limerick, were married in 1853 in Marylebone, Middlesex, (London) and immigrated to Ontario, Canada about 1855. I have their downline from there. The McAuliffe name came out of the McCarthy Clan in Cork in 1214 and by the 1800s were all over Munster. By that time there were also many in Kerry around Castle Island, but Newmarket, Co. Cork is still Clan HQ. I too would love to trace more information on David's siblings. At the moment a vision problem restricts my work. Andy McAuliffe, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
