Gobnait.....popular in Cork and Kerry.....translated differently in each....as Deborah or Abigail(sp?) Church and large outdoor shrine in Cork in her honor just over the hill from Millstreet and down the Killarney Road from Macroom. Residents still visit and drink water from both her old "holy well" and the new one, and visit the cemetery where some artifacts still exist and local residents still tell remembered stories and legends of her life. Also beliefs of the healing qualities of ribbons touched to measure her preserved statue when it is venerated once a year are strong. I missed an important clue here that I usually follow..close your eyes to the existing spelling of a name and think phonetically. Catherine
