    1. Re: [IRL-LIMERICK] trick to get all records with first name variations in IFHF
    2. Maureen, What a marvelous tip--thanks so much for sharing it w/ the list. Like you I am plowing away and sighing deeply too! Only connection I know of between my SHANAHAN family and the FARRELL family is that my Denis SHANAHAN and Ellen KERRIGAN were married by a priest named Peter E. Farrell (born c1835 Ireland) at St. Brigid's Church (Avenue B, New York City) in 1861. Do you know anything about Mary Bridget FARRELLs family at all? Kathy Rhodes -------------- Original message from "Maureen J. Chicoine" <mchicoine@linkline.com>: -------------- When working with searches by parishes on IFHF I discovered that putting just first initial of first name with surname(I am looking for Michael and Mary Shea) and clicking on parish will bring up all variations of that name in parish register such as Ml or Maria. It hasn't helped me find my missing ones (I believe they are in a special 19th century Irish witness protection program!) but it might help others. Thanks to all who responded to my question about Mungret - I am trolling the parishes they suggested and sighing deeply! Maureen Researching Michael Shea ca. 1812/15, wife Mary Bridget Farrell ca 1812/15 and children ?John ca 1840, Mary Agnes ca 1843/4 (my great grandmother) and Michael ca 1845/6 all born in Limerick who immigrated perhaps via Canada to northern Vermont.
