HOGAN -- On Wednesday, Jan. 4, WINNFRED [WINAFRED?] POWERS, formely wife of Michael Hogan, in the 42nd year of her age, a native of Palace Green, county Limerick, Ireland. The friends and relatives of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from her late residence, 25 Vandam street, this (Friday) afternoon, at two o'clock, without further notice. NOTES: Palace Green is incorrectly spelled [not a mistranscription]. Proper spelling is PALLASGREEN or PALLASGREAN. Vandam street in NY is very close to the area where my ancestor Denis SHANAHAN lived and worked after he immigrated from County Limerick to NY in 1857. Kathy Rhodes
