I, too, found the marriage (1844) and subsequent baptisms of children (1844 and 1846) through IFHF for West Galway. Through the information on those records, I was put in contact with the church who has the old records. When I received the copies of the actual church records, it was the same: no parents' names for the bride and groom...only the surnames of the fathers of the bride and groom.
