I purchased quite a few, back in December, for my family in Galway. Although I was beside myself to have found the parish and townland, as well as the marriage of my gr grandparents with the consequent baptisms of two children, I had hoped that ALL the fields would have information filled in. I was a bit disappointed when IFHF showed only the surnames of the fathers of the bride and groom. Since then, I have been in contact with a nun who is the archivist for the catholic church my family used back then. Sister was kind enough to send me a copy of the marriage (1844) and two baptisms (1844 and 1846). The information on the IFHF record was EXACTLY what was on the actual church record. Actual Marriage record had date, parish, townland, grooms name, brides name, witnesses' names. There were no names for the parents of the bride and groom at all. The actual Baptism record has date, child's name, parents' name, sponsors' name, parish, townland. Kitty **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. Watch the video on AOL Home.
