I am looking for a birth record, marriage record and (possibly) a death record for one George Thompson Hutchinson. I know that he was born in 1844 and I know that he married one Alice Clarke on 22 Dec 1875, and that he died on 31 Jul 1923 in MountShannon. I also know that he was in the Royal Irish Constabulary mostly in Limerick City. He and Alice had eleven children, one of whom was my grandfather. I have found some of the birth records for them on IFHF, but not all. Has anyone got any other suggestions that I might try, or even some evidence? Thanks Chris Jones

Chris, Do you have his RIC service record? It will tell you where he was "native to", which is supposed to be where he was born. Well, county only. You can send for it via the Police Museum in Belfast email: museum@psni.police.uk I have been searching for my (RIC) Gr Grandfathers birth and death dates and have recently discovered that the RIC pension records are now available on line from the Kew Archives in Sent: Friday, March 07, 2008 1:59 PMLondon. For a fee of course. Have sent a request for an estimate for these records.Waiting to hear back from them. Hoping that if I can find when and where his pension stopped, may locate his death place and date and then be able to obtain death record which will hopefully lead to his birth record also.
