Hi Elaine There are only the names which have just been posted from the list of Guild Members supporting O'Connell. I did check the much larger list of Limerick Freeholders which I found last year on EPPI. There are several John Collins listed in the Limerick area but all are farmers. What year is that marriage certificate you mention? The lists which we are talking about are at least a generation or two earlier than civil registration started in Ireland. Plenty of time for a farmer's son to become a broguemaker. He was married to Ellen RYAN and on my ggrandfather's wedding Certificate he was listed as a Shoe-maker Thank you Elaine ------------------------------ To contact the IRL-LIMERICK list administrator, send an email to IRL-LIMERICK-admin@rootsweb.com.
