Someone on the list please correct me if I am wrong but weren't Catholics denied entrance to Trinity in Dublin until approx. the 20th century??? I know when we were investigating entrance info for my youngest son, we did research on it's past history. I no longer have that file since he went to university in the mid 1980s. He stayed in the USA because jobs were scarce at that time in Ireland for young people. If this is correct than a man studying for the priesthood would have been in a seminary either in Ireland or on the continent. Trinity was definitely not a seminary for the Catholic church.
