    3. I will be giving lecture on " Using the IFHS sites " and would like to hear from anyone who has any tips. One that I have: If your find details within the time of Registration: a. can you obtain the certificate cheaper through the Register Office or the local county office ? B. does the time of the event fall within the period of time that the LDS has filmed the Register ? Regards from Valerie in sunny Sydney. When the Civil Records started in 1864 there was a bit more info such as addresses at the time for the bride and groom, their occupations and the names of the father's and their occupations but no address. In some cases you could assume that the bride lived at home but not always true, same for the groom. > > Mary Ellen > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > IRL-LIMERICK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________________ Overpaid or Underpaid? 3. Valerie~ !. If I order a particular certificate via mail, I use the online form which is required and one can use their credit card. The last one, my card was charged $ 14. American, this was last spring and the exchange was much better than it is now. If you order by mail from a particular county, they will not do credit cards. At the website, you will find instructions for how one would pay if they are not using a credit card or using a county office. It can get confusing. About cheaper, that depends on the exchange rate which for Americans, last Sunday was $1.67 = 1 Euro. When I am "home" visiting family in Mayo, I have obtained certificates in Castlebar at the GRO office on North Antrim. Over the years, depending on the exchange rate, I have paid between $8 - 12 American for each certificate. 2. I have no idea what you are referencing. The records the LDS are there, for sacramental the timeline is what a particular parish has that has survived. Civil Records are post 1864. You might find your answer at the LDS website.
