I had a deed which also mentioned In Chancery and I was able to find that record myself. Chancery was one of the lessor courts. You will need to get a book and read up about the different courts and where the records are where they can be found I can give you the name of a book if you or anyone else is interested in this subject. In my case it gave 4 family relationships and the fact that money was being with held. Regards from Valerie in sunny Sydney. Thank you for your reply Valerie but I should have explained myself more, In Chancery was mentioned with the Griffiths Valuation record in the Immediate Lessor column, regarding land. I have cd's of chancery records. I will have a look for you. I belong to family history organisations & I also buy a lot of material from Goulds in Adelaide, I receive news from them on-line. They are very helpful. I have a few very old books that I have bought in the UK from Heraldry To-day. I like books to work with most as I can sit up in my bed & read them..can't take the computer to bed!
