    2. A BURIAL record without a cemetery listed? That doesn't make any sense. Are you sure it was a BURIAL record and not a DEATH record? Kathy Rhodes -------------- Original message from DUCKEECPS@aol.com: -------------- I ordered 2 from West Galway: No age, no cemetery... nothing but name, date of death, parish, townland. Didn't order any more!!! Maybe Limerick will be different. Kitty

    3. In many rural areas cemeteries were not attached to local Church. These were often very old, dating back to medieval times and often near ruins of old church or monastery. They were generally property of the Church of Ireland. While the C of I authorities recorded burials of their own members in these cemeteries Catholics not recorded. The IFHF "burials" seem to be death registrations. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bonita Evjen" <bevjen@bevcomm.net> To: <IRL-LIMERICK@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 28, 2008 5:25 PM Subject: [IRL-LIMERICK] Fwd: BURIAL records IHFH > > The are titled Burial Record on the form.
