Hi Liz The marriage record is short on extended detail - it ony records the surnames of the bride and groom's respective fathers. I do have another marriage record which has Mary Kearney as one of the witnesses for the marriage of Michael Hayes and Judith Fahy in Kilbehenny, Co Limerick on 25/02/1829. The bride and groom were from the parish of Carrigeen and religion was Roman Catholic. Are these names familiar? Hi Patricia, The names are not familiar, but is Kilbehenny near Glin, Kilfergus, Limerick? I would be interested in the Bride and Groom's father's names for Timothy Kearney. The Mary Kearney you refer to below could be John Kearney's mother. I do not think it could be John's wife, Mary Scanlon, as she would only be 13 in 1829. I think John Kearney and Mary Scanlon married in the late 1830's or early 1840's. My Kearney family was Roman Catholic. I love to hear about other Kearney families and Scanlon families. You just never know when a connection might be made! Thank you! Hi Liz, Kilbehenny is about 50 miles from Glin. Glin is in the extreme North West of the County an Kilbehenny is in the extreme South East.
