Dear friends I am still no nearer finding out about my family. All I know is that Ann McCoy was born in Limerick about 1829. Her father was John and her mother, possibly, Catherine. There was also a Margaret, but I do not know whether she was a sister or Aunt. Ann is supposed to have had a brother who was either a Catholic Priest or an MP. She married a John Har(r)old from Derry in May 1847 in St Mary's Moorfields in London. She came out to South Africa in 1860. She died in Paddington, London on 3rd August 1915 and was buried at Kensal Green. Is there any way that I can check out the Catholic Priest suggestion? Are catholic records available on the web? How many parishes existed in the 1820's and how can I find them? It is so frustrating not to be able to get any further. Kind regards Monica
